MOYSINGS is a small production company, the brainchild of Actor/Director Avrom Berel and Singer/Actress Megan Owen.

Our mission (concentration) is twofold.

1. We produce Professional Cabaret Shows, directed by Avrom and featuring Megan.
2. We teach acting/singing workshops for singing students (of all ages) and guide them through the rehearsal and production process of a concert using their talents and new skills they have learned during the workshops.

Having spent many years performing and teaching master classes and workshops, we felt there was a need for specific workshops for aspiring singers. Young singers need the extra help of acting classes and regular, guided rehearsals which culminate in a concert for invited audiences.
The classes involve acting and singing technique as well as stage movement. Each singer is helped to choose songs appropriate for his/her age and voice. These techniques help “bring a song to life”.

THE ARTISTS Both Avrom and Megan have extensive backgrounds in performing and teaching. During the past five years they have combined forces to design and teach a workshop for singers interested in developing their acting skills.

AVROM BEREL received his MA in English Renaissance and Jacobean Literature from Oneonta State, and his acting training from Mount View Theatre School in London. He has worked off Broadway in regional theatre since 1973. He is a member of AEA, SAG and AFTRA. Avrom directs and stages classical concerts as well as Cabaret. Often the young, aspiring actor gets in his own way. Exercises in voice-movement release the stress and tension which inhibit the actor's emotional release and impede what is, after all, a basic human instinct: the ability to act. — AB

MEGAN OWEN is a professional singer based in Connecticut. She received her BA, in an area-major including dance, voice, theater and French from Lake Erie College for Women. She studied voice and acting in NYC and has worked in the professional theater off Broadway and in the daytime drama, “Guiding Light.” Her classical concertizing has taken her to New England, Scotland, Portugal and France, and includes Lieder, Art Song, Sacred & Oratorio repertoire. In addition, Miss Owen has appeared in numerous NYC Cabaret venues, produced a CD “All the Things You Are,” and has recently developed and performed a new show “Food of Love and Vice Versa”... directed by Avrom Berel. A Member of AEA, MAC and AFTRA, Megan teaches voice privately.
